Edo: NDE Moves to Forge Alliance with Humanitarian Ministry to Tackle Poverty

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has congratulated the newly appointed Edo State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Bisi Idaomi, describing her appointment as well-deserved and a reflection of her compassion and leadership.

In a statement signed by the Edo State Coordinator of NDE, Ikhanoba Omokhape James, the Directorate commended Dr Idaomi’s outstanding record of service, particularly her commitment to women, youths, and vulnerable groups during her tenure as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development.

The NDE expressed optimism that her wealth of experience and visionary approach would further drive development and humanitarian interventions in the state.

The Directorate also used the opportunity to seek a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs in key areas such as job creation, skills acquisition, and poverty reduction.

“The National Directorate of Employment (NDE), whose core mandate focuses on job creation, skills acquisition and poverty reduction, looks forward to a robust partnership with your Ministry in our shared mission to empower citizens and improve livelihoods across all strata of society,” the statement read in part.

While assuring the Commissioner of its support, the NDE prayed for wisdom and strength for her to succeed in her new role, noting that such collaboration would further advance Edo State’s efforts in promoting inclusive growth and sustainable empowerment.
