Panic spread through Isapa community in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State on Monday evening after bãndits invaded the town and kidnåpped 11 residents.

‎The incident happened around 6 pm, coming just days after a similar ättäck in nearby Eruku town.

Eyewitnesses told reporters that between 20 and 30 attackers stormed the community while moving with a large herd of cattle.

‎The gǔnmen were said to have fired repeatedly, forcing residents to flee and seek safety.

‎An elderly woman was struck by a stray bullet, raising further fears about the rising insecurity in the area.

‎Hours after the incident, bullet-marked walls and damaged doors were seen in several homes, while spent shells were recovered from different locations.
