The Senator representing Edo South Senatorial District, Barrister Neda Imasuen, has hailed workers across the district for their resilience and dedication, as he marked the 2026 International Workers’ Day.
In a goodwill message, the lawmaker described workers as the backbone of society, commending their unwavering commitment despite prevailing economic challenges.
“Your sacrifices do not go unnoticed, and your efforts continue to inspire hope for a stronger and more prosperous future,” he stated.
Imasuen disclosed that, as part of his constituency interventions, he has facilitated dozens of federal job placements for constituents, aimed at easing unemployment and providing opportunities for youths in the district.
He reaffirmed his commitment to advancing policies that protect workers’ rights, improve working conditions, and ensure fair reward for labour.
“As your representative at the National Assembly, I remain committed to advocating for policies that create opportunities and uplift the living standards of our people,” he added.
The senator urged workers to remain steadfast, noting that their contributions are critical to building a better Edo South and a stronger Nigeria.
He concluded by wishing workers a fulfilling and rewarding May Day celebration.
