Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed confidence that the country will eventually overcome its security challenges, assuring Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu is working tirelessly to address the situation.
Speaking during a meeting with traditional rulers in Ado Ekiti, she acknowledged the pain caused by kidnappings, banditry, and killings across different parts of the country. She noted that the government is taking both local and international measures to improve security and restore peace.
According to her, the President has partnered with countries such as the United States and other developed nations to strengthen efforts against criminal activities and violence. She urged citizens to remain hopeful, patient, and prayerful, emphasizing that the President is fully committed to resolving the security crisis. The First Lady said the administration is working around the clock to protect lives and ensure lasting peace across the country.
Meanwhile, traditional rulers at the meeting called for stricter penalties for kidnapping and renewed their demand for the establishment of state police as part of efforts to improve security nationwide.
