Social media has been buzzing with claims that newly-signed Bayern Munich midfielder Ismael Saibari’s former girlfriend attempted to rekindle their relationship shortly after his reported $55 million move to the German champions.
According to the viral story, Saibari was earning about €19,200 per week during his time at PSV Eindhoven when his girlfriend allegedly ended their relationship, claiming he could not afford the lifestyle she desired.
The narrative claims that everything changed after Bayern Munich completed the blockbuster transfer, instantly elevating the Moroccan international’s profile and financial status.
It is alleged that shortly after the deal was confirmed, the woman inundated Saibari with lengthy apology messages in a bid to revive their relationship.
Rather than respond directly, Saibari reportedly shared screenshots online comparing the woman’s earlier “You can’t afford me” messages with her subsequent pleas for reconciliation, triggering widespread reactions across social media.
The alleged exchange has since fuelled intense debate online, with many users praising the footballer while others questioned the authenticity of the circulating screenshots.
However, neither Saibari nor Bayern Munich has publicly confirmed the claims, and the screenshots circulating online have not been independently verified.
