Anambra Lecturer Flees Through Window After Students Allege Misconduct

A lecturer at a tertiary institution in Anambra State reportedly fled through a laboratory window after students alleged that he attempted to engage in sexual misconduct with a female student.

According to accounts circulating online, the biology lecturer had allegedly been making repeated sexual advances toward the student. The students claimed they then devised a plan to expose him.

They alleged that after the female student entered the lecturer’s office, she raised an alarm, prompting other students to rush to the scene. Witnesses claimed the lecturer, who was reportedly partially dressed, locked the laboratory door as students attempted to gain access.

One student was said to have forced the door open, after which the lecturer allegedly fled from the laboratory by climbing out through a window.

Videos circulating on social media purport to show the lecturer fleeing the scene, though the footage has not been independently verified.

The institution has not issued an official statement on the incident, and the allegations against the lecturer remain unconfirmed as of the time of filing this report. Authorities have also not announced whether a formal investigation has been launched.
