Former Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has shared a humorous behind-the-scenes story about Super Eagles stars Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho, revealing the unusual remedy they relied on whenever they picked up injuries during their time at the club.
Speaking while reflecting on his years with the Foxes, Vardy disclosed that the Nigerian duo would make quick trips back to Nigeria whenever they suffered knocks, returning with what they described as a special “juju cream.”
“Wilf and Kel, whenever they got a knock, would travel to Nigeria for a day and return with a big tub of juju cream. That was the only thing they applied to the injured area,” Vardy recalled.
The former England international added that Ndidi and Iheanacho jokingly told their Leicester teammates the cream came from a witch doctor, leaving the dressing room both amused and intrigued.
“They used to tell us it came from a witch doctor,” Vardy said.
Ndidi and Iheanacho spent several successful seasons alongside Vardy at Leicester City, helping the club win the FA Cup and Community Shield before Iheanacho’s departure, while Ndidi remained a key figure in midfield.
