The Progressive Witches and Wizards Association has held its maiden public anniversary in Osogbo, Osun State, where members issued a stern warning to Nigeria’s political leaders and heads of security agencies over the continued killing of innocent citizens.
The gathering, hosted on Thursday by renowned Ifa priest, Chief Ifayemi Elebuibon, at the Araba Castle, called on authorities to urgently halt the bloodshed across the country or face what he described as grave consequences.
Addressing members, Chief Elebuibon urged them to seek deeper knowledge of themselves and channel their natural abilities towards personal development and national progress. He also cautioned traditionalists against engaging in the killing of fellow human beings, warning that divine punishment awaits perpetrators.
According to him, the continued loss of innocent lives across Nigeria has provoked the displeasure of Eledumare.
“Eledumare is displeased with the shedding of the blood of innocent Nigerians. Political leaders and heads of security agencies in Nigeria must work to put an end to this. If they fail to do that, the consequences will be too heavy for this country,” he declared.
Also speaking, the association’s coordinator, Oyelola Elebuibon, sought to dispel widespread misconceptions about witchcraft, insisting that members of the group are responsible citizens committed to the wellbeing of their families and communities.
He described members as “good husbands, wives and mothers” who strive to promote peace, progress and prosperity rather than harm, urging Nigerians to rethink long-held stereotypes about witches and wizards.
