Senator Neda Bernards Imasuen, representing Edo South Senatorial District, on Wednesday honoured with the Distinguished Achievement in Legislative Excellence and Democratic Governance Award at the 2026 African Achievers Awards held at the historic House of Lords in London.
Imasuen emerged as the unanimous choice of an independent panel of judges following a rigorous selection process. The organisers said the award recognises his outstanding contributions to legislative development, democratic governance, and public service.
Receiving the award, the senator described the honour as a reflection of the collective commitment to strengthening democratic institutions and delivering impactful legislative service.
He thanked the organisers, his colleagues, supporters, Edo south constituents, friends, and family, adding that the recognition would inspire him to continue advancing policies that promote sustainable development, accountability, and inclusive governance.
