Nigerian comedian Mazi Okeke has sparked widespread reactions on social media after emotionally accusing his fiancée of infidelity despite claiming to have invested heavily in her education, business and family.
The comedian, who broke down in tears during a viral video, said he was devastated by what he described as the ultimate betrayal after years of financial and emotional commitment to the relationship.
Okeke revealed that he sponsored his fiancée’s university education from her second year through to graduation. He further claimed that he established a business for her and even built a house for her parents before they got married.
Speaking through tears, the comedian admitted he rarely discusses his private life publicly but said the pain of the alleged betrayal became too much to bear.
“I invested my life, my money on this girl. How stupid I was, because I believed,” he lamented while struggling to contain his emotions.
The emotional video has since gone viral across social media platforms, igniting intense debate over love, financial sacrifice and expectations in relationships.
While many sympathised with the comedian and criticised the alleged actions of his fiancée, others cautioned against making life-changing financial commitments before marriage, arguing that generosity should not be seen as a guarantee of loyalty.
The identity of the woman involved has not been made public, and she has not responded publicly to the allegations at the time of filing this report.
