The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Bayelsa State Coordinator, Mr Samuel Amaramiro Pepple, has charged outgoing Corps Members to remain good ambassadors of the scheme and uphold its core values of service, discipline and patriotism.
Pepple gave the charge during the low-key Passing-Out Ceremony for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Corps Members held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the Peace Park Complex, Yenagoa.
Represented by the Assistant Director, Human Resource Management, Mrs Essien Omawumi, the State Coordinator congratulated the Corps Members on successfully completing their mandatory one-year national service.
He urged them to continue to embody the ideals and values of the NYSC wherever they find themselves, stressing that the completion of their service year marks the beginning of a new phase of responsibility and opportunity.
Pepple encouraged the outgoing Corps Members to remain disciplined, patriotic and committed to making meaningful contributions to society.
According to him, the experiences and lessons acquired during their service year should serve as a solid foundation for their future careers and endeavours.
He also wished the Corps Members success in their future pursuits, expressing confidence that they would deploy the knowledge and experiences gained during the programme positively in their communities and workplaces.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the symbolic signing of sample certificates, while commendations from the State Coordinator were presented to deserving Corps Liaison Officers in recognition of their dedication and contributions throughout the service year.
The ceremony was monitored by the Deputy Director, NYSC South-South Area Office I, Asaba, Mrs Kwajafa Hauwa.
NYSC officials and Corps Members were also in attendance, with the outgoing participants expressing joy and fulfilment as they formally concluded their national service year.
