Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has announced a significant scholarship grant of N90.423,000 million to 221 Yobe indigenes attending Nigerian law schools across various campuses in the country. This commendable gesture by the state government is aimed at encouraging and supporting young minds in their pursuit of professional education in the legal field.
During the award ceremony held at the banquet hall of the government house in Damaturu, Governor Buni reassured the beneficiaries of the government’s commitment to consistently awarding scholarships to qualified Yobe indigenes in tertiary institutions both at home and abroad. This initiative is in line with the state’s vision to promote and provide quality education to its citizens.
The governor further highlighted that the state has consistently maintained an unbeaten record in the Northeast sub-region and across Nigeria in providing such opportunities to students to pursue professional certificates with ease. This has made Yobe State one of the preferred choices for students seeking quality education in Nigeria.
“Today’s ceremony of awarding scholarships to our law students to attend the Nigerian Law School is in continuation of the support this administration has continued to render in the last four years to the law students to obtain their professional certificates.
“This is in line with our comprehensive and holistic approach to the development of education as a driver of human capital development.
“You should strive to be good ambassadors of the state, and remain reference points of academic and moral excellence,” the Governor said.
