AMASCOS inaugurates new officers

The Association of Mass Communication Students (AMASCOS), Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Chapter today inaugurated officers to pilot its affairs for 2020/2021 academic year.

The event which was held at the ETF II building had in attendance the Head of Department, Mr. Unwana Charles, AMASCOS Adviser, Mr. Aniekan James, the SUG President, Comr Akaninyene Akpan represented by his Media Aide, Comrade Edidiong Williams amongst other students.

In his remark, the Head, Department of Mass Communication, Mr. Unwana Charles described the offices as being a training ground and encouraged them to ensure to be transparent in all their dealings. He charged them to be servant leaders in all their dealings and further discharge their duties effectively free of any form of sentiments or bias.

Also speaking, the AMASCOS Adviser, Mr. Aniekan James Anny Ajames commended the Electoral board led by the Chairman, Comrade Bozimo Adolf for a job well done and urge the newly sworn in executives to ensure transparency, accountability and humility throughout their tenure in office.

The newly sworn in President, Comrade Charles Ufon Monday thanked all those who supported the vision which lead to his emergence and promised to keep to his campaign mandate. He pleaded all to give their full support towards the success of his administration while pledging an all inclusive government.

Highlight of the event was the administration of oath of office by Barr. Macaulay as well as presentation of certificate of return to the executives.
