A young woman identified as Umuora Mmesoma has reportedly been found dead after she went missing on Friday, October 16, 2026, in Uga, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to a report shared on X by a user identified as Chuks, Mmesoma’s ex-boyfriend, identified only as Chima, allegedly confessed to killing her following the end of their relationship.
In the reported confession, the suspect allegedly said he killed Mmesoma at his residence in Uga, placed her body inside a bag, and dumped it at an undisclosed location.
“I killed her because she broke up with me. I killed her in my house in Uga, put her inside a bag and dumped her somewhere,” he reportedly stated.
The disturbing allegations have sparked renewed concerns about intimate partner violence, possessiveness, and the dangers of refusing to accept the end of a relationship.
The incident also highlights the importance of taking threats, stalking, intimidation, and controlling behaviour seriously, particularly when a relationship is ending.
However, the details of the incident, including the reported confession, should be treated as allegations pending independent verification from the relevant authorities.
Further official information about the circumstances surrounding Mmesoma’s death and the status of the alleged suspect is awaited.
