Renowned cleric Bishop David Abioye, a key figure in the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), has announced the launch of a new independent revival initiative, “Hour of Revival,” following his retirement from the church.

The programme, which marks a significant new chapter in his ministry, is themed, Revive Us Again and will take place at the National Stadium Velodrome on November 23 and 30, 2024.

This announcement comes just weeks after his retirement in accordance with the guidelines of the Living Faith Church’s operational manual, the Mandate.

Bishop Abioye, who served as the trusted deputy to Living Faith Church founder Bishop David Oyedepo, shared his vision for the new initiative in a recent YouTube documentary.

“This is an expansion of ministry, not a departure from the family. I will always maintain strong ties with Bishop Oyedepo and the Living Faith Family,” he said.

A valedictory service held in his honour at Goshen Camp, Nasarawa State, highlighted his remarkable 45-year journey in ministry. During the event, Bishop Abioye expressed deep gratitude for the mentorship of Bishop Oyedepo, with whom he first connected in 1979.

The “Hour of Revival” crusade is expected to draw thousands of attendees, continuing Bishop Abioye’s legacy of inspiring spiritual growth and revival. This new direction, he emphasised, is aimed at reaching a broader audience while reinforcing the mission of spreading faith and transformation.
