The interest-free loan is available to students from federal institutions, polytechnics, colleges of education, and technical colleges. Here’s a step-by-step guide to applying:
Step 1: Visit www.nelf.gov.ng
Step 2: Click on “Apply Now”
Step 3: Click on “Get Started”
Step 4: Answer the questions and click on “Yes, I am a Nigerian”
Step 5: Verify your educational information
Step 6: Click “Verify with JAMB” and enter your JAMB details
Step 7: Create an account by entering your Email address and Password
Step 8: Click the email verification link sent to your email
After successful registration, log in and proceed to update your contact details, educational details, and account details.
To apply for the loan:
Step 1: Click on “Request for Student Loan”
Step 2: Select the type of loan and continue
Step 3: Upload supporting documents and agree to the terms
Step 4: Read the loan overview, accept the terms, and submit your application
Step 5: Check the status of your application by clicking on the “Loans” button
