Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved a three-month extension of the state’s work-from-home policy for civil servants in response to the rising cost of living.
This decision, announced on Wednesday by the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, is aimed at easing the burden of the recent fuel subsidy removal.
The extension will take effect from September 4th to December 3rd, 2024, continuing the flexible work arrangement that was first introduced on February 28th.
Under the policy, civil servants on grade levels 01 to 14 are permitted to work remotely two days a week, while those on grade levels 15 to 17 are allowed one day of remote work per week.
This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to mitigate the economic challenges faced by its workforce.
