Ahead of the 2024 governorship election, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, has met met with traditional rulers in Esanland. During the meeting, the traditional rulers spoke highly of Shaibu’s qualifications and expressed their support for his political aspirations.
Shaibu emphasized his commitment to providing practical governance wh:ile upholding traditional values and working closely with the traditional rulers to sustain the Edo cultural heritage.
He also urged against ethnic politics and appealed for support in securing the PDP nomination during the upcoming primaries
