Edo deputy governor, Philip Shaibu visits Okpella accident victims

The Edo State deputy governor, Philip Shaibu has visited victims of the Okpella accident at an undisclosed hospital where the victims were admitted for medical care. It is reported that no fewer than fifteen people lost their lives in the incident that occurred along Abuja-Okpella Road in Etsako East Local Government of Edo State on Monday morning.
The Deputy Governor who was accompanied by the Chairman of Etsako East Local Government, Mrs. Benedicta Attoh sympathized with families of the victims and assured them of his personal support and the State Government’s intervention in ensuring the restoration of electricity in the area.
He said: “This incident is regrettable. We must take safety measures to avoid future occurrences. I can assure you that my elder brother and Governor will act fast.
“The safety of the people is paramount and we will do all that is required to ensure we put a stop to this kind of accident.”
