Veteran Broadcaster and Producer of the popular Television Show “Candid Issues” Mr. Benjamin Atu has appealed to the Governor of Edo State Mr. Godwin Obaseki, his Deputy Comrade Philip Shaibu, and the People’s Democratic Party PDP to give the people of Etsako East their Choice Chairman rather than installing a baby king who knows not what it takes to govern.

” He called on the Governor and the Deputy to listen to their conscience and ignore political leaders who wishes to project their interest above the overall interest of the masses. Mrs Benedicta has paid her dues and has rendered massive services to the State in all elections.”

Benjamin Atu maintained that Etsako East needs an experienced and Educated Chairman who can establish a functional local government to generate growth and development at the grassroots by deepening democracy as a training ground for political participation.
Atu who was addressed by newsmen today in Abuja after an enlarged meeting of Etsako East Youths said the forthcoming local government election should not be used for political compensation but focus on how to correct the pitfalls of the local administration in Etsako East. The defects of the current system where internally generated revenue is not properly accounted for, must not be allowed to continue he said.
