An atmosphere of joy erupted this morning in Owan West as the news of purchase of nomination and expression of interest forms by Hon. Dickson Ahonsi filtered into town.
Dickson Ahonsi, a seasoned Administrator, Psephologist and Economist is the Owan West Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship hopeful, ahead of September 2 Edo State Local Government Election.
He arrived the PDP state Secretariat in Benin City at exactly 11:55am, amidst wild cheers from various groups and party supporters.
Shortly after picking his nomination and expression of interest forms, Hon. Dickson thanked the party leaders for showing the light and giving him the opportunity to be part of the process of ensuring a well secured Owan West, noting that, “I have never been so optimistic than I am today that, our goal of repositioning the LGA is still possible.
“My life has always been about giving my all to my people and the journey has just started.
“Let us get down to work and ensure today’s exercise translates to electoral victory, come September 2.
“I want to thank you all that came. You heard I will be here today, and you personally decided to join us. This is truly a huge surprise, show of love and I will not take it for granted.”
