The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Edo State chapter, were recently at the palatial residence of the Esama of Benin Kingdom, Sir Chief Dr, Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion to felicitates him on his 90th birthday.
The delegation led by the State Chairperson, Comrade Adesuwa Louisa Ehimuan, expressed their admiration for Chief Igbinedion’s contributions to the region and the nation.
The team extended their warm wishes, acknowledging the Esama’s impact on community development and his support for various initiatives.
During the visit, Chairperson, Edo NAWOJ, Ehimuan presented a letter of appointment to Chief Igbinedion as the Grand Patron of the Association’s South-South Zone F.
The letter was signed by the Zone F Vice President, Stella Macaulay, and the Zonal Secretary, Eunice Emeyazia.
The elated Chief Igbinedion graciously accepted the offer expressing his gratitude for the recognition and his commitment to supporting NAWOJ’s mission.
The visit was marked by celebration and camaraderie, highlighting the deep respect and admiration of the women’s journalists for the Esama of Benin and a presentation of a birthday gift was also given to him to mark his 90th birthday celebration.
