Local Government Secretaries (SLGs) from across Edo South have paid a courtesy visit to Senator Neda Imasuen, lauding the legislator for his recent move to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and expressing their hopes for a new chapter of cooperation and development for the senatorial district.
The visit, which was intended to foster closer ties and share ideas for the benefit of the people, featured a delegation led by Hon. Zion Osawaru, the SLG for Egor LGA. Osawaru commended Senator Imasuen for his decision to join the APC, describing it as a pivotal shift that would enable the district to secure its fair share of federal benefits and development projects.
Hon. Uhunwagho Solomon, representing Orhionmwon LGA, added that the visit was an opportunity to identify with the distinguished senator and collaborate on ideas that would benefit the people across the senatorial district.
Comrade Nosa Omoruyi of Ikpoba Okha LGA spoke on the significance of quality and effective representation, highlighting its role in ensuring equitable access to government resources and basic amenities for the people of Edo South.
In his response, Senator Imasuen expressed gratitude to the visiting SLGs, describing the visit as a “smart move” that would pave the way for developmental benefits across the region. He assured the delegates that his shift to the APC was motivated by a desire to end the marginalisation of Edo South and promised that changes would soon be felt throughout the district.
The senator further called for peace, unity, and collaboration amongst leaders across the district, urging them to move beyond internal rivalries and focus on bringing sustainable development to their communities.
The meeting concluded with a group photograph and expressions of optimism for a brighter future across the various Local Government Areas represented by the secretaries.
