… Agbebaku working independently and cooperatively with Governor Okpebholo – Concerned PDP Stakeholders
Foremost stakeholders of People’s Democratic Party in Owan West Local Government, have knocked mischief makers peddling rumours of Edo State Speaker, Rt. Hon Blessing Agbebaku decamping to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a joint statement signed by the PDP stakeholders in Benin City, the Edo State capital, described the action of those spreading rumours of Speaker decamping as not only false, misleading, but a calculated attempt to truncate the cordial relationship between the Executive and the Legislative Arms in the State.
“We don’t know who is sponsoring them to drag the person of the Speaker.
“The Speaker, Rt Hon. Blessing Agbebaku remains committed to working independently and cooperatively with the Executive Arm, ably led by Governor Monday Okpebholo, the State’s Chief Executive, just as It is difficult to achieve complete isolation of the three departments (arms) from one another, as pointed out by Baron De Montesquieu, Olisa and Odoh (2007) in their submissions.
“Due, objective and sane cooperation with the Governor are in line with the thoughts of the right thinking proponents of Separation of Powers.
Edo comes FIRST.”
