Edo State Commissioner for Youth and Humanitarian Affairs, Hon. Zubairu Dada Abubakar, has assured the youth of Edo State that the benefits they currently enjoy under the administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki will continue if they support Dr. Asue Ighodalo and Barrister Osarodion Ogie in the upcoming governorship election.
During a meeting with representatives from youth organizations across the state’s eighteen local government areas, Commissioner Abubakar emphasized the proven capacity and character of Asue Ighodalo, making him the most accepted candidate in the race.
“We want you to continue to support Governor Godwin Obaseki to finish well and strong, and as you know, part of finishing well and strong is to produce a worthy successor. I therefore urge the youth to give Dr. Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie (Esq) massive support to win the September 21st election to continue the good work of the Governor in making Edo State greater,” he stated.
Hon. Shedrach Udugbai, the Special Adviser on Youth to the Governor, also highlighted the administration’s dedication to listening to and addressing youth concerns.
He stressed that only Dr. Asue Ighodalo can maintain the progress and interests of the youth. Udugbai urged various youth interest groups to come out and vote for Ighodalo, citing his competence and ability to deliver democratic dividends.
Comrade Aigbobiosa Asenoguan, Chairman of the Forum of Local Government Coordinators, NYCN, praised the governor’s support for youth, comparing it favorably to previous administrations. “We want to ensure that there is continuity with Asue Ighodalo,” he said.
