The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba has approved the deployment of CP Abutu Yaro from Force Provost Marshal, Force Headquarters, Abuja, to head the Police Command in Edo.
Acting Public Relations officer, Force headquarters CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this on Thursday in a Press statement.
He said the IGP also posted CP Yekini Adio Ayoku and CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde, to head Kaduna and Imo State Police Commands respectively, while CP Sikiru Akande Kayode is to head Adamawa State Commands.
A brief profile of CP Abutu, shows on that, he holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in Kaduna State. He was appointed to the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1988.
The Edo new CP also served in various supervisory capacities within the Nigeria Police Force, including as Commissioner of Police in charge of Zamfara and Imo State Police Commands respectively.
