Residents of Egor constituency have issued a blunt public rebuke to their lawmaker, Natasha Irobosa Osawaru Idibia, urging her to end what they describe as “unending social media drama” and focus on delivering meaningful representation at the Edo State House of Assembly.
Their frustrations intensified after a viral video surfaced online showing details of her marital dispute with Nigerian music icon Tuface Idibia, rekindling a cycle of controversy that many constituents say has overshadowed her legislative responsibilities.
In interviews and public statements, residents accused the lawmaker of devoting more time to online dramas than to the work she was elected to do. They insisted that the spectacle surrounding her personal life has become a distraction and a source of embarrassment, at a time when the constituency desperately needs purposeful governance, empowerment programmes, and policy attention.
Speaking on behalf of other constituents, Omoruyi Liberty Omorogieva voiced the growing discontent, declaring bluntly: “Natasha, we are tired. Every day it is one drama or another on social media. You are not the only public figure or the only woman in the Edo State House of Assembly. We just want to be empowered without any wahala.”
He appealed to the lawmaker to “settle down” and focus on the essentials of her mandate, stressing that constituents expect the “dividends of democracy” and not constant public controversies. “Please stop the drama so it doesn’t bring palava. You’re a good woman, please do better for everyone,” he added.
