The aspirant for the Federal House of Representatives seat representing Gaya, Albasu, and Ajingi Local Government Areas, Hon. Shamsu Ubale Gaya (Dioup), has distributed financial assistance worth ₦25 million along with motorcycles to residents of the constituency.
The support programme was aimed at easing the economic hardship faced by people in the area, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
Reports indicate that beneficiaries drawn from the three local government areas received part of the ₦25 million cash support, which is intended to help them cope with the rising cost of living and provide relief during the fasting period.
The initiative targeted many vulnerable and needy individuals in the constituency, with organisers stating that the primary goal of the programme is to support community members and help improve their living conditions amid current economic challenges.
In addition to the financial assistance, Hon. Shamsu Ubale Gaya also presented motorcycles to some youths to enable them start small businesses, promote self-reliance, and improve transportation services within their communities.
Several beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the aspirant, noting that the support would significantly reduce their hardship and improve their livelihoods.
