Fire razes many shops in Zamfara, kills one

A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday evening at Gusau Central Market in Zamfara State, where a fire outbreak destroyed several shops and claimed the life of a shop owner who is yet to be identified.
The fire broke out at around 8:30 pm in the furniture section of the market, and it quickly spread to other parts of the market.
The Nigerian Fire Service officials from the New Market Office, led by Commander Hamza Mohammed, rushed to the scene to battle the fire and prevent it from spreading further. Despite their efforts, the fire destroyed many shops before it was finally put under control.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, and officials are investigating to determine what led to the tragic incident. Speaking about the incident, Commander Hamza Mohammed expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased and assured the public that they would do everything possible to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
The fire outbreak has caused significant damage to the market, and many shop owners have lost their means of livelihood.
The Zamfara State Government has promised to provide relief materials to the affected shop owners and assist them in rebuilding their businesses.
