Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara attended the 60th birthday ceremony of Asari Dokubo at Novetel Hotel in Port Harcourt on Saturday.
“I honestly feel happy coming here to celebrate with you. I know what it means to live everyday, when you are in a certain position, it is not comfort that keeps you. Every day when you wake up, you give God all the glory and pray that you see the next day. I join other voices to wish you the best” the Governor said
Governor Fubara also said his administration decided to embark on the Trans Kalabari Road project because he understands the importance of the road to the economic development of the area, and urged the continuous support of Kalabari kingdom to his administration to move the state forward.
He said it is time to return the state on the path of love and unity to enable it to progress, calling on the people to work together to move the state forward.
On his part, the celebrant, Alhaji Asari Dokubo thanked the Governor for attending his 60th birthday and assured his support to his administration to succeed.
Alhaji Dokubo commended the Governor for embarking on the Trans Kalabari road project and pleaded with him to continue to open the coastal lines for business activities and tourism to thrive .
