While following a meeting with stakeholders at the Bauchi Government House, Governor Mohammed shared that the distribution of these aids will begin soon.
He emphasized that the committee, headed by his Deputy, Mohammed Auwal Jatau, will define the approach for assisting beneficiaries.
The committee’s responsibilities encompass various areas including disbursing allowances to civil servants, gratuity and pension payments to retirees and pensioners, transportation, and procuring both food and non-food items.
Mohammed said the committee was set up under the chairmanship of Honorable Auwal Jatau, with the Head of Service, Chief of Staff, the Emir of Bauchi, and other relevant ministries and stakeholders [as members] for the commencement of the implementation of the palliation programme of the Federal Government by states.
He added that the committee, as usual, will work with all the stakeholders, particularly our traditional institutions, to ensure transparency and a just programme distribution process.
