The governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni has held his second term inaugural meeting of his cabinet with a commitment to consolidate on achievements in the last four years.
Briefing the press shortly after the Exco meeting, the Commissioner, Home Affairs, Information and Culture Hon Abdullahi Bego and that of Health Dr Lawan Gana quoted the Governor as saying his administration will build on the work it has accomplished over the last four years to make Yobe a much better place for all its people.
Among these are successes recorded in Yobe’s healthcare, housing, education, rural electrification, empowerment, roads construction, and humanitarian interventions despite the COVID_19 pandemic and the global economic recess experienced in more than half of the four years in the last tenure.
The governor, according to Bego also charged the cabinet to work as a team and add value to government engagements, knowing that every Ministry is an integral part of the administration’s systems of governance.
At the Meeting, the Governor also announced the confirmation of the appointments of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali and the Chief of Staff (COS), Alhaji Abdullahi Gashu’a as substantive SSG and COS respectively.
