Rema, the Nigerian music star, who was slated to perform in Lagos, Abuja, and Benin this December, has cancelled his shows due to health reasons.
Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has sent his well wishes, saying that Rema’s achievements are a source of pride for the people of Edo State.
He praised Rema’s exceptional talent and his ability to sell out London’s O2 Arena and amass 1.6 billion music streams on Spotify in just a year.
According to Obaseki, Rema’s success is an inspiration for young creatives, and he wishes the young musician a speedy recovery.
