Kelvin, the personal security guard and bouncer of Nigerian music superstar Kizz Daniel, has shared a touching tribute to his boss, expressing gratitude for the transformative role Kizz Daniel has played in his life.
Kelvin described the warmth and respect he’s experienced while working with the Afrobeats singer, painting a picture of a unique and caring employer-employee relationship.
“While working for him as a security guard/bouncer, he never once raised his voice or hands on me. Instead, he showers me with gifts and takes me on vacation trips to different countries,” Kelvin revealed.
He added that Kizz Daniel always treated him like family, even inviting him to join at the dining table during meals. “I have never worked for someone like this; I’m blessed,” Kelvin said, beaming with gratitude.
Earlier this year, Kelvin was offered a role in a movie, but he turned it down, fearing that stepping away might lead to losing his position by Kizz Daniel’s side.
However, when film executives reached out to the singer to question Kelvin’s refusal, Kizz Daniel, unaware of the situation, immediately spoke with him.
“After they contacted him, he came to me and asked why I turned down the request. I told him that I didn’t want to leave his side because I was scared of losing him,” Kelvin explained.
Rather than discouraging him, Kizz Daniel encouraged Kelvin to embrace the opportunity, saying, “Kelvin, go and answer your call and come back, I will be right here waiting for you.”
Following his boss’s encouragement, Kelvin accepted the movie role. The film has since become a massive hit, topping charts on Netflix and attracting attention from companies eager to work with him.
Despite his newfound success, Kelvin returned to Kizz Daniel, where the two shared a heartwarming moment of celebration.
“Out of excitement and joy, I hugged him so tight and lifted him up, and he said, ‘Ah ah, you don forget sey I be your boss oo… hahaha,’ and we both laughed,” Kelvin recalled fondly.
