The House of Igbinedion, led by Sir Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, on Monday January 1st, 2024 held its Morning Dew Thanksgiving Service, with the theme “2024 My Year of All Round Favour.”
The event was held to celebrate the coming year and to thank God for the blessings received in the previous year.
During the service, the officiating minister, Pastor Joshua Omosehin Ogunboye, delivered a powerful homily titled “The Favour of God.” In his sermon, he emphasized the importance of tapping into God’s all-round favour by being faithful and trusting in Him completely.
He also cited several Bible verses, including Deuteronomy 28:1-14, to explain that God’s favour is available to all believers who obey His instructions. The cleric also highlighted the need for believers to wait for God’s guidance before making any decisions.
He explained that inquiring from the Lord before engaging in any worldly affairs is essential, as it helps believers to tap into the mystery of all-round favour.
According to him:”For you to tap into this mystery of all round favour, anywhere you go favour. Where you did not sow, you reap from, you have to follow the Lord strictly”.
The executive governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, was also present at the service and expressed his gratitude to the Esama for his fatherly role in his administration. He revealed that Sir Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion had been a father figure to him since he became governor. Obaseki went on to thank the Esama for his continued support and leadership, stating that the year 2024 would be very crucial for him as he would turn 90 years old.
Obaseki said:” Many of you may not know that, Chief Osawaru Igbinedion for me is a father in a father. A father because when I became the governor, he called me and said your father and I were very close and he is not here anymore. I will be your father.
So Daddy, I want to thank you this morning for as usual waking us up to come praise God. This year is very crucial for you. This year 2024, Papa will be 90years old. We thank God for your life. We thank God what you have been to all of us and the community.”
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including the immediate past president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Rev. Dr. Felix Omobude, and Rev. Father Alfred Agbolahon among others.
The service also witnessed choir ministration and special prayers for the House of Igbinedion. The Morning Dew Thanksgiving Service was a celebration of faith, gratitude, and hope for the year 2024.
It was an opportunity for members of the House of Igbinedion and other attendees to gather and give thanks to God for His blessings and guidance in their lives.
