Former Board of Trustees member of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon Charles Idahosa, has announced his defection back to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday morning, along with his supporters.
Idahosa expressed his concerns over the possibility of Governor Godwin Obaseki and his PDP candidate, Asue Ighodalo, winning the September 21st governorship election, calling it the greatest misfortune that could befall Edo State.
In his statement, Idahosa urged the APC not to rely on “federal might” to win the election, but instead to work together to return the State to the APC. He emphasized the importance of unity among party members and called for a collective effort to ensure victory in the forthcoming election.
Idahosa was once a member of the APC before he defected to the PDP in 2018. He has now returned to the party, citing his disappointment with the PDP’s inability to deliver on its promises to the people of Edo State.
