… Demolished all illegal structures, found dog abattoir in Maduganari
The Executive Secretary Borno Geographic Information Services (BOGIS) Engr Adam Bukar Bababe lead staff of BOGIS and Urban Planning Development Agency in collaboration with security agencies to began the demolition of criminal hideouts, illegal brothel and illegal house were used in sells of illegal substances .
This was after 2018 demolition of the premises whereby illegal structures, sells illegal substances and prostitutions activities.
It could be recalled that in 2019 , a committee set up by the state government including Engr Bababe revisited the place and directed evacuation but the people return and continue their illegal businesses.
During the demolition today, dog abattoir and sells of alcohol including illegal substances were found in the area. The Executive Secretary said the amended law of Borno state disallowed the sells of alcohol within Maiduguri metropolitan only in places like Army, Police, Correctional barracks etc.
Engr Adam bababe also added that public structure will be constructed within the area with immediate effect, call on citizens to assist the government in achieving it policy and develop the state.
