Jnr Pope: Governor’s aide calls for immediate arrest of movie producer

Following the death of popular Nollywood actor, Jnr Pope yesterday occassioned by a boat mishap, an aide to the Delta State governor, Ossai Ovie has called for the immediate arrest of the producer of the film the late Nollywood actor was working on before the unfortunate incident that led to his untimely death as their boat capsized in Anam river in Anambra State while returning from a filming location, Uptown Press reports.
Ovie asserted that the unfortunate death would have been prevented if the movie producer was kind enough to provide life jacket and divers to her team working on the project.
According to him: “The Producer of the Film that Late Nollywood Actor Jnr Pope and his Team where working on before their Boat Mishap should be arrested.
“Jnr Pope death would have been prevented if the film producer provided him and others with life jacket and divers “The producer of the movie should be arrested immediately against future reoccurrence.
“She should be arrested, questioned for not providing Life Jacket to her Team in the Location which has led to their untimely Demise.
“Also the person that owns the boats without a life jacket and a diver for passengers should also be arrested.”

Until his death, Junior Pope 39 married his beautiful wife Jennifer Awele  Okponu in 2014. They have three boys. Last year, the couple outdoored their newly built mansion. The Nollywood actor, model, and television personality is best known for his roles in “Wrong Initiation, We Meet Again, and Eye of the Eagle”.

Uptown Press gathered that, the late actor hails from the Ukehe tribe of Enugu State in the southeastern part of Nigeria but grew up in Cameroun. He completed both his primary and secondary school education in Cameroun before relocating to Nigeria.
