The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has issued a strong warning to the public, particularly jobseekers, to disregard any rumours or claims that the company is selling employment slots.
This was announced in a press statement signed by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, and made available to Uptown Press on Saturday.
The statement clarified that the company has no employment slots available for sale and described the rumors as the work of fraudsters attempting to exploit unsuspecting applicants.

NNPC Limited stated that it operates as a responsible corporate entity, and its recruitment process is straightforward and transparent, without any form of financial inducement or the sale of job slots.
“Anyone who pays money to anyone for any job in the company does so at his or her own risk,” the statement warned.
NNPC Ltd. urged the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activities related to employment offers to the appropriate authorities, ensuring that fraudsters are brought to justice.
