The Edo North Senator-elect Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has expressed shock and sadness over the death of Etsako West APC leader Alh. Sadiku Momoh also known as, S.M.O.
In a statement made available to the press by his chief media aide, Victor Oshioke, Oshiomhole said Alh. SMO was “a respectable, long time pillar of APC who stood firm as the conscience of the party in good and bad times across Uzairue and beyond.”
He further described Alh. SMO as “a courageous, meticulous, and conscientious leader who tenaciously defended his convictions despite his calm and accomodating disposition.” “All through his political career, he was always a valuable asset for any party he aligned with, because he was in tune with the grassroots, to the extent that he became a repository of strategic planning for politics in Edo North. He was a father to Etsako West APC family and provided us with credible leadership”
“On a personal note, I lost a friend, counsellor, advisor, and loyalist who stood firmly beside me and resisted all attempts to lure him into joining forces with anyone to thwart the will of our people.”
“I express my sincere condolences to his wives, children, and the extended family that he left behind. Although we mourn his painful loss, we are consoled by the fact that he lived an exceptionally good life, touched so many people positively and left a legacy which makes us thankful to God for the time he spent with us here on earth.”
“Alh. Sadiku Momoh left a vacuum that will take a long time to fill. May Allah forgive his sins and grant him aljanaah firdaus,” the statement concluded.
