Edo APC chieftain Rt Hon Benjamin Olajina, has reaffirmed the unwavering leadership of Senator Adams Oshiomhole within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State and his indispensable role as the indefatigable leader of the party in Edo North, where he currently serves as Senator.
Olajina, who is a former Minority Leader of the Edo State Assembly while highlighting Oshiomhole’s illustrious political journey, underscored the fact that the former National Chairman of the party earned his leadership position through his dedicated service as a two-term governor of Edo State under the APC banner.
“Oshiomhole’s leadership credentials are built on a solid foundation of governance and party stewardship,” Olajina stated, affirming his enduring influence within the party.

Addressing recent speculations surrounding Oshiomhole’s purported loss of influence, particularly in the aftermath of the gubernatorial party primaries in Edo State, Olajina issued a stern warning.
He said, “Those who believe they have succeeded in demystifying Oshiomhole must heed caution, because the child who strips his father naked in the village square must pray not to become a father himself.”
Reminding Edo APC members of Oshiomhole’s enduring political stature and the potential repercussions of underestimating his influence within the APC and Edo State’s political landscape and looking ahead to the upcoming September Governorship election, Olajina stressed the imperative for unity within the APC ranks.
“The success of the APC in the forthcoming election hinges on the collective effort of all party members,” he asserted, emphasizing the need for solidarity and cohesion under Oshiomhole’s leadership.
Dispelling any notion of external interference in electoral processes, Olajina made it unequivocally clear that the President Tinubu would not intervene to sway results in favor of the APC.
“The outcome of the 2024 Edo State Governorship election will depend on the strength of the candidate, the running mate, and the unity of all leaders under Oshiomhole,” he declared, reaffirming the party’s commitment to electoral integrity and democratic principles.
“Any deviation from this path of unity and cohesion,” Olajina concluded, “will inevitably lead to failure at the polls.”
