According to unconfirmed reports circulating widely on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Ekwutos is now said to be in critical condition after undergoing a procedure to terminate the pregnancy. The duo, both well-known figures in Nigeria’s booming online skit industry, were reportedly in a discreet romantic relationship that developed while collaborating on several comedy sketches. Multiple social media users and blogs allege that the intimacy between them was unprotected. A now-viral quote attributed to Brainjotter, “As a proud Igbo man, I can’t be eating eba with nylon,” has been cited as a troubling reference to his alleged dismissal of using protection.
When Ekwutos reportedly informed Brainjotter about the pregnancy, he allegedly denied responsibility and encouraged her to terminate it. Not long after the alleged procedure, concerns about her deteriorating health began to surface online.
