President Bola Tinubu has appointed five individuals to serve in the Office of the President under the Media & Publicity Directorate.
These appointments were made in strict accordance with Nigeria’s federal character principle and the principle of merit.
The new appointees are Mr. Fela Durotoye, Mr. Fredrick Nwabufo, Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe, Mr. Aliyu Audu, and Mr. Francis Adah Abah. Mr. Durotoye will serve as Senior Special Assistant to the President for National Values & Social Justice, while Mr. Nwabufo will serve as Senior Special Assistant to the President for Public Engagement. Mrs. Akhigbe will serve as Senior Special Assistant to the President for Strategic Communications, Mr. Audu will serve as Special Assistant to the President for Public Affairs, and Mr. Abah will serve as Personal Assistant to the President for Special Duties.
In addition, President Tinubu has approved the secondment of Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe to serve as the Communications Adviser to the President of the ECOWAS Commission.
This is a testament to Mrs. Akhigbe’s expertise and experience in strategic communications. The President has tasked all new appointees who are serving in the Media & Publicity directorate to uphold the highest standards of decorum and decency in their engagements with all members of the public.
Their mission is to advance the President’s determined bid to renew the hope of Nigerians in a restructured economy and unified society that caters sufficiently to the needs of all, regardless of any differences.
