Primary: Okpebholo Emerges Edo APC guber candidate

The rescheduled gubernatorial primary election of the All Progressive Congress on Friday in Benin City produced Senator Monday Okpebholo the governorship flagbearer in the forthcoming election in September 21, 2024.

This is coming after the leadership of the party declared the governor Hope Uzodinma led-committee primary election that took place last Saturday inconclusive following allegation of irregularity and foul play from members.

Declaring the results, Governor of Cross Rivers State and Chairman of the APC Edo Governorship Primary Election, Prince Bassey Otu announced that Senator Monday Okpebholo emerged victorious having won the majority number of votes.

Governor Otu explained that Senator Monday Okpebholo ganered a total number of 12,433 votes to defeat other aspirants in the race.
