Probe: Don’t waste time fighting Obaseki, concentrate on actualising your manifesto, Okpebholo urged

In a meeting held on Thursday, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), advised Edo Governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, to concentrate on delivering good governance rather than investigating the outgoing administration.
The advice was given during Okpebholo’s courtesy visit to the APC National Working Committee (NWC) in Abuja.

Ganduje emphasized the importance of forward-looking leadership, urging Okpebholo to avoid distractions by focusing on implementing the APC’s manifesto and advancing socio-economic development in Edo State.
“Look forward, don’t look back, and don’t waste your time fighting the person you took over from. A progressive government does not have time for that,” Ganduje remarked, encouraging Okpebholo to build bridges with key stakeholders and establish a legacy of action and positive change.

With the APC’s confidence in Okpebholo’s leadership abilities, Ganduje assured the governor-elect of the party’s support in meeting campaign promises. He stressed the importance of functional party offices at all levels, including the recent establishment of the APC Progressive Institute, designed to equip personnel, especially at the local level, for governance and service delivery.

Reflecting on his election journey, Okpebholo expressed gratitude to the party’s leadership, acknowledging the pivotal support from Ganduje and President Bola Tinubu. He described the APC’s victory in Edo as a “new dawn,” and highlighted the peaceful nature of the election as a source of pride for the State.

As Governor Godwin Obaseki prepares to hand over on November 12, Okpebholo reiterated his commitment to fulfilling the APC’s vision for Edo, prioritising peace, prosperity, and sustainable development for the state.
