The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Christ The Lord Parish, Lekki, has empowered over 200 youths, entrepreneurs, and small business owners with cutting-edge digital and artificial intelligence skills in a strategic move to boost income generation and business sustainability.
Uptown Press reports that, the three-day AI Business Empowerment Bootcamp, held from April 9 to April 11, 2026, formed part of the church’s welfare-driven initiatives aimed at deepening social impact and expanding post-summit engagement programmes.
Facilitated by the United States-based Fish For Life Foundation, the training provided participants with hands-on exposure to digital tools essential for thriving in today’s technology-driven economy.
Attendees were equipped with practical knowledge in AI-powered book writing and publishing, video creation and editing, YouTube channel development and monetisation, as well as freelancing on global digital platforms.
Speaking at the event, the Pastor-in-Charge of the parish, Tunde Jenrola, said the initiative was deliberately designed to position participants for emerging opportunities within the fast-growing digital economy.
“This programme goes beyond talk—it is about equipping individuals with the tools to generate income, build sustainable businesses, and compete globally using technology,” he said.
Participants described the bootcamp as transformative, noting that the skills acquired would enable them to launch digital ventures and explore new streams of income.
Organisers added that the initiative highlights the increasing role of faith-based institutions in driving MSME growth and youth empowerment through structured training and strategic partnerships.
