The Action People’s Party (APP) has emerged victorious in 22 out of 23 chairmanship positions in the recently concluded local government elections in Rivers State.

The results were announced on Saturday by Retired Justice Adolphus Enebel, the Chief Election Officer of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC).

The elections, which were held across the 23 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Rivers State, saw a significant win for APP, solidifying the party’s dominance in the state’s political landscape.

Justice Enebel, while declaring the results in Port Harcourt, said the collation of votes for Etche LGA is still on-going, leading to a suspension of the announcement for that area.
