Equatorial Guinea’s financial crime head, Baltasar Ebang Engonga, is embroiled in a national scandal following the leak of over 300 explicit videos allegedly involving him and several women, including high-profile figures’ spouses.
Engonga, who leads the National Agency for Financial Investigation (ANIF), initially faced detention in a corruption probe.

However, during the investigation, authorities discovered these videos on his personal devices, allegedly depicting encounters with the wife of the Presidential security head, his own brother’s wife, and other women, some believed to be married.

The recordings reportedly filmed in various settings such as his office, hotels, and other public locations, have incited a wave of public outrage and heightened scrutiny of governmental ethics in Equatorial Guinea.
Engonga, who is married with six children, has seen his professional and personal reputation severely impacted, igniting widespread discourse on the accountability of public officials.
