The confirmation for Ola Olukoyede as the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been approved by the Senate.
In addition, Muhammad Hammajoda has been confirmed as the Secretary of the anti-graft agency. The screening for both men was conducted by the upper chamber on Wednesday afternoon, roughly a week after they were appointed by President Bola Tinubu.
The appointment will be valid for a renewable term of four years initially. Ola Olukoyede’s appointment comes almost four months after the suspension of the former chairman of the anti-graft agency, Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa.
