Senator representing Edo South Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Ethics, Code of Conduct and Public Petitions, Senator Neda Imasuen, has emphasised that continuous professional development remains critical to building a resilient healthcare system and improving patient outcomes across Nigeria and the African continent.
The lawmaker made the assertion on Thursday when he received organisers of the All African Nursing and Medical Career Upgrade Expo 2026 during a courtesy visit to his office at the National Assembly, Abuja.
The delegation, led by Dr. Rossette Jackson of Rossette Humanitarian Medics, briefed the senator on preparations for the continental healthcare summit, which is designed to advance the professional development of nurses and other healthcare professionals across Africa through capacity building, leadership development, innovation and internationally relevant clinical training.
